3. Measure your feet correctly

Step 1 - Stand Up

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against the wall. Stand barefoot on it with your heel touching the wall.

Step 2 - Mark your foot

Mark the tip of your longest toe (this isn’t always the big toe). Then mark the widest part of your foot on both sides.

Step 3 - Measure your foot

Measure the distance from the wall to your longest toe - this is your foot length. Measure the distance between the side marks - this is your foot width.

Step 4 - Add extra space

Add 0.8–1.2 cm to your foot length to allow natural toe movement, then compare this measurement with the inner length in our size chart (see “additional information” for details).

Additional information Plus
  • For sandals, ballerinas, and flip-flops, you don´t need to add extra space; you need little to none.
  • With sneakers, we recommend adding 0.8-12mm; in winter shoes, you need a little more, especially if they have a furry lining (consider adding +15mm to your foot length), in case you have a higher instep, or wider ankles.
  • Always choose the size up if you are between sizes.
  • Check if there is a note in the description about any special features or adjustments for a specific model. Please note that in the winter models or tex, measures may vary, with some compensations.

4. Confirm your size

Our templates will help you find the correct barefoot shoe size. Just print them out and follow the guide.

IMPORTANT: Add 0.8 - 1.2 cm to your foot length to allow natural toe movement. This is already included in our size charts as “ideal foot length” (marked in blue in each template), which corresponds to (insole) length minus 8-12mm.

5. Understand your foot shape

Recognise your instep

The volume in the instep are is typically determined by the height of the instep and the width of the foot in this area. Why is this relevant? This affects how snug or spacious the shoe feels.

Low instep

Less than 0.7cm

Average instep

0.71 - 0.78cm

High instep

0.78 or more

How to recognise your foot volume?*

You can get a sense of your foot volume by trying different shoes and observing how they fit. Pay attention to lace positions and the fit of slip-on models...

6. Does it feel right?

Measuring your feet will help tell us what your recommended fit is. But in the end, it comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer a closer, snug fit, while others like a bit more room and freedom ro move.
Snug

A close fit with minimal space. Your toes may feel restricted, especially at the front.

Recommended

A balanced fit with the right amount of the space. Comfortable, natural and based on your measurements.

Spacious

A roomier fit with extra space around the foot. May feel loose or less secure - or comfortably relaxed, depending always on your preference
